The Goat Scouts seem to play just good enough to beat us. It was a game attended by most of our active players. We started out a little slow (Mark claiming most were running in molases). They got a few good hits. We made a few mistakes. We got a few hits. Mark brought out his neoprene knees, Sarah her cannon, Matt his speed, Jose his sure hands, etc., etc., etc. Sam watched carefully from the sideline wishing to be in the fray. By the end of the game the Turkeys were three runs down. But not out! Eight of us gathered at the Round Table for pizza and recounted our game. And then we remembered that we were going to have a party on Sunday.
Please forgive the short game report. This reporter is thinking more about replacement cars for those totaled over this week than softball!
The box score for the game and the offensive/devensive stats will be posted when Sam reviews and sends them to me. Sarah brought her camera. She and Mark took pictures for posterity.
