5/20/08: Game against the Paper Tigers...another win. There WILL be a game next week on Wednesday.

Game for 5-12-08: ON. It's a little cool today...overcast...some breeze...but we're still on as of 3:15 PM. Regardless of the weather, come on out and get your new Turkey T-shirts. Stay tuned in the event of rain. Warm pizza sounds good after a cold night on the field. Come on out, play, and join us for dinner afterwards.

4/16/08: Practice tomorrow!! Bring out your stuff. Our first game is against the LA Radars on Monday 4/21/08. Let's get the kinks out. And let's talk about new shirts. Check out the stuff that Sam put together regarding logos and colors for the new team T-shirts. Bring your comments and ideas to the practice and let's get the first new T-shirt since the team became a team! (p.s., Don't complain to Mark about how many clicks it takes to see all the various options...this was Sam's HTML. He should have left it to the professional to do properly...)

4/4/08: 2008 Season starts week of 21 April!!! Look for Mark to set practice(s) up for weeks before. Should we have a party? Of course!! Look for info on that as well.

3/31/08: This is a message from Sam: The season is scheduled to start during the week of April 21st, continuing through the last week before Labor Day. This year we will be playing all of our games at Hahamongna Park, and C League is likely to be scheduled only for Mondays through Wednesdays (i.e., no Thursday games).

The team fee has increased by 10% to $440, which will work out to about $22 apiece for regular players and proportionately less for part-timers (assuming that we have enough players signed up as regulars). I've already paid the whole fee, and players can reimburse me as the season gets started.

The registration forms have been updated and added to the 2008 web page. Get them in the FORMS section. Get them to Sam by the end of this week.

8/10/07: The first game of a two-game week, this one against the LA Radars. A loss. Still, a good deal of pretty play, great attempts to make outs, etc. Their one big inning was all it took. Another game in three days. Looking forward to a victory.

7/23/07: Game against the Bruisers tonight went how we had hoped. Plenty of fun (for the Turkeys), a victory, and a great gathering for dinner afterwards. Game report posted. Pictures posted. Awaiting Sam's delivery of the offensive and defensive stats.

7/20/07: Updated the Home page to include current team photo. Click on a face to see the player's bio. The 2006 Team Photo has been migrated to the 2006 photo archive.

7/19/07: Another week...third loss. We played the Titans and were sluggish except for Sarah's acrobatic play on the left hand side of the infield. Game report provides more detail:

7/15/07: Going to bed now...but what an awesome party! Full report and a few pictures in the misc-events page. This team is as incredible as can be. The first teammates showed up almost right at 6:30 PM (Sean and Lisa tied with Tim and Debbie). However, it must be noted that (due to misunderstanding the real start time) Hannah and Sarah did a drive-by at 5:30 PM...then went to the Cold Stone for snacks for an hour. We had 27 people show up for this party! The biggest party to date. Great BBQ. Great conversation. Visits with at least one teammates parents! And a doubles/singles ping-pong tourney to end them all. Chris is singles champ. Mark and Hannah remain the undefeated doubles champs. It was all over by 11:00PM. Looking forward to the end of year party!

7/9/07: I've added three new videos to the pictures page. Go check out the sweet double play and Sean's dramatic catch. Added 12 pictures that Sarah took at the last game in June against the Gravity Frawgs. Also...We need more responses from team members for who's coming to the party this coming Sunday!!!

6/26/07: LETS HAVE A PARTY!! At the post game dinner tonight the twelve of us present thought that it might be good to have our mid-season party. And, for a change, we thought that a Sunday party would be OK. So we're looking now at Sunday, July 15, 2007...same place? same time?

6/26/07: A sad loss. Great play by all the women.

6/19/07: Another win. New players. Updated webpage with pictures, etc. Still have to create player profiles for the new teammates. Perhaps this weekend. A great team photo...unfortunately missing some regulars (Rich, Judy, Nancy, Phil, Matt, etc.)

6/11/07: Sam has had surgery on his broken collar bone. He's in good spirits and resting. I'm sure he'll be at the next game...to cheer. And never again to play catcher...

6/6/07: NEW! This is the first update of the team website since October 2006. Sorry for the big delay. No excuses offered. There have been 8 games since the start of the season and one team party. There are plenty of pictures to be found in the Photo Archive.

6/4/07: We won our 4th game in a row. And we had special visitors from afar...Hannah's parents were in attendance, having just arrived from San Diego after running the "Rock-n-Roll" Marathon.

6/3/07: Hannah and her dad, Joseph, ran in the "Rock-n-Roll" Marathon today in San Diego. Both finished and are very tired!

5/30/07: What an interesting game. Well...because our manager Sam "managed" to catch a pop fly...and then break his collar bone. More via e-mail to the team.

1/1/07: Former teammate Ashley becomes engaged while stranded in a snowstorm that hit the eastern plains of New Mexico. While staying several days in Tucumcari, NM her boyfriend became her fiance. (NOTE: Tucumcari is where Mark was married in 1980! What coincidence!) See the pictures at the moment of the proposal in her alumni profile page.
