Team party 5/19/07
A good party is a good way to start the season. We've had a few games already and are looking for some wins. The usual crowd showed up for this party. Pictures can be found from the Photo Archive. There are some beverages left over...I'll keep them in a cool dark place for the next party! What do you say about another party in early July?

Mid-Season Team party 7/15/07
A great party was held at Mark's house this past Sunday. There were 27 people there (the biggest party in Turkey history?), including Maggie's Dad who had come out from the New York area to celebrate her 21st birthday (happy birthday!). This team is as incredible as can be. The first teammates showed up almost right at 6:30 PM (Sean and Lisa tied with Tim and Debbie). However, it must be noted that (due to misunderstanding the real start time) Hannah and Sarah did a drive-by at 5:30 PM...then went to the Cold Stone for snacks for an hour. The weather was simply georgeous, cool (but humid) as the afternoon became evening. Mark was heard (many times) saying "wow...much cooler than last year's mid-season party...when it was 115 degrees at 11:00 PM". Jack made it even though he had just undergone a surgical procedure just two days before. Tim and Debbie made it for the first time this year. Soon the fires were going, Tim and Mark manning the grills. Before you knew it we were all eating. Great BBQ. Great conversation. And a doubles/singles ping-pong tourney to end them all. This informal tournament started with a group starting to plays singles. After an hour or so, and after desert, the doubles started. Everyone enjoyed the fun. Erisa, who claimed beginner status, looked more like a shark than a beninner. Don't bet against her. And Katie also showed great skills. Sam, still recovering from his broken collar bone was able to play some net, but soon sat down to rest. Our two pregnant expectant moms decided to sit this tournament out. And Sarah, who had been working tirelessly this past week finally succumbed to exhaustion. She was to tired to swing a paddle, but not to tired to watch and laugh at those who did. How did it end? Chris is singles champ. Mark and Hannah remain the undefeated doubles champs. It was all over by 11:00PM. Check out the few pictures that Bill/Sarah took with Mark's camera. Looking forward to the end of year party!
