Bill is the "manager of choice" when Sam is not available to be at games. He's willing to decide where people play and not worry what people think about it. Good trait. In 2007, Bill quietly assumed the role of manager while Sam was recovering from his collar bone injury.
Bill is our softspoken leader. But that doesn't mean he doesn't have a sense of humor or that he doesn't know how to have fun (just check out the picture on the left). He plays in the infield, typically at 3rd. He loves to throw on the run towards first (giving that baseman fits) and is the quiet journeyman softballer. I mean really quiet! He's at all the games. He plays his fair share. He really hits well. But you don't see him cavorting about like Mark does during the games. On the other hand...he's not allergic to beer and you'll find him at the post-game pizza dinners...quietly eating and drinking.
