Gerardo is the next generation of Wild Turkey. He joined the team several years back at a young age, having to develop to play with the older boys. Today, however, he's come into his own and is likely the best player on the team. His catching has come along miles, his batting is improving weekly, he's fast, and has show an ability recently to read the game much better. He will be a dominant outfielder in 2006.
Gerardo has the honor of having been named the first "Turkey of the Week" in the 2006 season. At the recent team "party" at the batting cages, he showed that his batting is all adult. This young man has become one of (if not the) dominant players on the team based on skills and constant attendance. GREAT JOB!
