Matt has been an on-again off-again player with the Turkeys since 1999...when he was 13 years old (the youngest age the League allows...so we won't mention the previous season). An avid club soccer player, Matt also spent a couple years on the high school baseball team. Young, athletic, and (very) fast, Matt ranges over as much field as any other two Turkeys. In right field at 13 years old, at least one Voodoo Toad tried to take advantage of the youngster...to his dismay...each of three times in the same game.
In 2007 Matt has made a point to make as many games as he can...and once again we're just tickled that he does. He's strong enough to hit the trees with his batting and fast enough to turn singles into triples and triples into homers. And he provides some of the best fun of the team...at least once doing a head-first slide into third and loosing his shorts in the process!! He's good natured enough to laugh at himself...as long as his dad's not around. And when the old man is around he's always one to provide the entertainment for both teams. We're glad to have him and hope he can continue to fit the Turkeys into his busy schedule.
