Recap Game'10-14: Scoresheets | Play-by-Play Summary*

Turkeys Edge Bruisers, 11-10

Earlier this season the Wild Turkeys tied the Bruisers, 18-18, in an exciting game that saw several swings of momentum. Tonight's rematch featured less offense, but it was equally close. With the Turkeys trailing 9-7 in the bottom of the 5th, Gerardo and Debbie started a two-out rally with consecutive singles, and Jose cashed them in with a three-run homer to give us a temporary lead at 10-9. Then the Bruisers immediately retied the game after their first two batters in the top of the 6th (which was agreed to be the final inning), and the next two Bruisers launched shots to LF that threatened to give them the lead. But Dave was there to haul them both in, and we escaped still tied, 10-10. In the bottom of the 6th, Yvonne got the winning run aboard with a one-out single, and then Dave became the hero again with a long hit to LF that went far enough for a home run, but is officially recorded as a double because the game ended when Yvonne crossed the plate. This was a very exciting and friendly game, and in two weeks we'll meet the Bruisers for a third time this season.
