Turkeys Jam Radars, 24-18

Evening their season record at 1-1, the Wild Turkeys jammed the L.A. Radars 24-18 on the grassy south field at Hahamongna Park Wednesday night. Jumping out ahead behind Mark's pitching and later converting two double plays, the Fabulous Fowl punched out 25 hits to twice reach the 10-run mercy advantage. Matt was the defensive Turkey of the Week with strong outfield play and starting a double play at shortstop in the last inning. Sean also converted a double play at third base and Monica anchored first base. Bill (3/3, 5 RBIs) and Gerardo (3/3, all ground-rule doubles) were offensive Turkeys of the Week, while Andre and Matt were also 3/3. Nancy played a full game at short field with some extra baggage, while Phil and Rich shared coaching duties with Dylan. Thirteen Turkeys, plus four kids and one girlfriend, enjoyed pizza after the game at Round Table.
