Cadets Forfeit; Turkeys' Youngsters Debut in Intrasquad Game

The Deep Space Cadets called off their participation in tonight's game, because they could only find four or five players (and no women). Since the Turkeys had almost enough players for two full teams by ourselves, we took the field anyway for an intrasquad game. Included in our lineups were two Cadets who hadn't received word that their team wasn't playing. And Turkeys' youngsters Noah and Anelisa both made their first appearances in a Turkeys lineup. Noah played the whole game on offense and defense, and got 3 hits in 5 ABs, but on his first AB he was thrown out by his own mother playing SS! Anelisa entered the game as a pinchrunner on one of Andre's ABs, and she got on base and eventually came around to score a run. In a few more years, the Turkeys will have a couple of new young stars in our regular lineups!
